Espirito Dourado Gathering
from 1 to 21 June 2026
Espirito Dourado is a place for peaceful togetherness and deep human healing – a living process that we experience and shape together. We do not follow a rigid plan, but grow organically with the needs and possibilities that arise in everyday life – always guided by the intention to act for the well-being of everyone involved.
Our vision is to create a community where we can grow together in trust, openness and natural connection.
Espirito Dourado is also meant to be a place where people can find peace, reconnect with themselves and experience healing in a simple, human way within a warm, family-like atmosphere.
And so our call goes out:
If you can imagine being part of such a community, we warmly invite you to join us and get to know one another. Between June 1 and 21, 2026, we will open our place for three weeks to create space for connection, shared experiences and mutual discovery.
You are welcome to join us for a day, several days, or the full three weeks — however, in our experience, it takes a few days to truly arrive. For that reason, we recommend staying at least one week.
Important information!
The gathering is a non-profit event.
Location
The gathering takes place off-grid at the home of Espirito Dourado: in central Portugal, in the Alto Alentejo region, near the town of Nisa, surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.
Arrival by car
Our place is located in a remote area without a paved road. The last 2.5 km are unpaved. You will receive detailed directions after your registration.
Arrival by plane
The nearest airport is Lisbon. From there, buses run to Nisa. If you are arriving by plane, we can pick you up in Nisa at cost price.
Infrastructure
Espirito Dourado is still in development – and so is our infrastructure. At the moment, a 63 m² wood-clad yurt, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor toilet and an outdoor shower are available.
Accommodation
We ask that you arrange your own accommodation (tent, camper van, or similar). If you bring a tent, please make sure to bring steel pegs, as the ground can be hard in some spots and soft pegs may not hold well.
Food / Costs
Our outdoor kitchen provides the basis for preparing shared meals. We organize daily vegan/vegetarian meals together, turning each one into a pleasant communal experience. The cost contribution is €10 per person per day.
What to bring:
- Light for the night – preferably rechargeable
- Power bank – ideally with solar panels for recharging
- Everything you need for your sleeping space: sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, etc.
- Sturdy shoes
- Rain jacket
- Comfortable clothing for warm days + sun hat
- Warm clothing for the nights, as it can sometimes get chilly
- Sitting cushion for our shared circles in the yurt
Animals
We love all sorts of animals but ask you to leave them this time at home.
